This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application Rewindo (in Japan: 逆再生メーカー) ("the App"), provided by Hiroki Sugiyama ("we", "us"), handles your information. The App is an iOS application that plays a video from your photo library in reverse (picture and sound) and exports the result.
The App does not collect personal information such as your name or email address. There is no account system and no backend server operated by us. All video processing happens on your device, and the App works offline. To improve the App, we collect only the anonymous usage data described in "Usage Analytics" below.
When you choose a video, the App reads it from your device's photo library and processes it only on your device. The reversed video is written to a temporary folder inside the App and, when you tap Save, to your photo library or to the location you choose in the Files app. Temporary files are deleted automatically. Your videos are never uploaded to any server and are never shared with us or any third party. The App requests only "add-only" access to your photo library for saving; it does not scan your library.
Purchases (the one-time PRO upgrade) are processed by Apple through the App Store. To verify and manage your purchase status, the App uses a purchase-management service (RevenueCat), which processes an anonymous identifier and basic purchase/device information. We do not receive your name, email address, or payment card details.
To improve the App, we use an analytics service (PostHog) to collect anonymous usage data: events such as screen views and button interactions, basic properties of the operation (for example the length and resolution of the selected video, the chosen options, and whether an error occurred), along with basic information like OS version, device model, app version, and an approximate region derived from the network connection. This data is tied only to a random identifier generated by the App and is never linked to personal information such as your name or email address. Your videos, photos, and their contents are never transmitted. We use this data solely to analyze and improve the App; it is not used for advertising and is never sold or shared with third parties.
The App does not show ads and does not perform any advertising-related tracking. The App does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA).
The App does not keep copies of your videos. Reversed videos exist only where you saved them (your photo library or the Files app), and you can delete them there at any time. Deleting the App from your device removes all of the App's own data (settings and temporary files).
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this page, with the "Last updated" date revised accordingly.
